Beeswax candle and lip balm making workshop – Let it Bee
9 November @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
DIY Lip balm & Beeswax Candle with a Bee-Inspired Cocktail ?
NEW WORKSHOP ALERT – start planning Christmas early this year and learn of a cost effective way of making the perfect gifts!
Discover the wonderful benefits of natural beeswax and honey and learn how to make natural, sustainable gifts for you and your friends!
Jane and Gillian from Let It Bee are Bournville based natural product experts and beekeepers! As long standing local suppliers of natural skincare products for our Bournville store @thecleankilo, we are excited they will be running their first workshop here at our cafe bar KILO ZIRO in Digbeth!
Learn how to make your own beeswax lip balms, roll pure beeswax candles, and enjoy a bee-licious Kilo Ziro cocktail made with award winning honey from Jane’s bee hives.
Date: Thursday 9th November
Time: 6:30 – 8.30 pm
Location: Kilo Ziro, 1 Gibb Street, Digbeth, B9 4AA
During the first part of the workshop we will guide you step by step through making a 100% natural moisturising lip balm using local beeswax.
Then you’ll learn how to roll and decorate your very own beeswax candles!
And we’ll probably not be able to resist talking about how they look after their busy friends in their hives whilst sipping on Kilo Ziro’s latest Bee-Inspired cocktail creation!
You’ll go home with 4 lovely tins of lip balm, and 2 large candles – or maybe a few smaller candles depending on how creative you get!
That’s more than 8 gifts complete, a new skill learnt, a cocktail enjoyed for a fabulous price of £35!
A fun, informal workshop. No experience needed. There will be a maximum of 14 participants and minimum of 4. Suitable for anyone 14 or over. This is a great activity to enjoy with friends or a unique gift for someone special. You’ll go home with instructions so you need never buy a lip balm again.
Working with beeswax can get a little messy so please bring your own apron or messy tshirt!
£35 which covers the cost of all materials, equipment needed and a delicious bee-inspired refreshment. And, of course, all the lovely products you’ve made!
